Wow, what a guess. I used to work at a video store that had that film, but I never watched it. Something about the photos reminded me of the screen grabs on the back of the VHS. LOL.

The Dragon Squad? *shrug* I seem to remember an ear getting lost in that, but truth be told I don't really watch many Chinese movies so I'm probably 30,000 miles off again.

That is actually only 29,780 miles off. But a good guess anyway.

This is one of my newer favorite films from Hong Kong. Great characters, and a well written storyline.

Hmm... I think I've got it, actually!

Is it Mad Detective? I actually thought that film was Korean, but the IMDb says it's Chinese. (I can tell the difference between Chinese and Japanese for a simple reason, being a fluent speaker of Japanese; but not the difference between Chinese and Korean despite knowing no one who is Chinese and knowing several Korean people. I feel stoopid now.)

Actually, you should feel real stupid as the film being Chinese was one of my clues in an earlier post. LOL.

It is Mad Detective. An excellent movie that more people need to see.

Yes, yes I know I are teh stupid person.

I saw Mad Detective awhile ago (Year of release), enjoyed it - though my memory is vague. Then again I have a 2 month long memory, which means I have to constantly refresh it to remember what things I like and don't like. That can be a problem for me.

Huh. Forgot about that. Was that the one where Robocop fought a drug dealing kid? I really don't remember the sequels, other than one being dumb fun and the other being... painful. x.X

It's a tribute/semi-remake of a silly and surprisingly controversial (Despite being pretty tame by modern standards) early exploitation film.
