The music was mostly forgettable though with the exception of the "Everybody Has A Dream" song in the tavern. 8/10 I dropped it one point for the poor choice to make this a musical when it didn't need to be.

I dropped it one point for the poor choice to make this a musical when it didn't need to be. I kinda agree, Mother knows best and Everybody has a dream was the best songs, the other ones were like Cliche-song #26. The animation was top class I must say, they really did something with the hair. I think a Blu-ray Purchase of this is valid just because of that hehe. I hope they continue now with more fairytales. Its the ones they do best imo

The animation was exceptionally done. This is the first computer animated film that I felt actually had that "Disney" cel animation look. Not literally mind you, but in the way they directed it, and in color selection. It really is a step forward into making computer animation look more like the older, traditional animation styles. After reading those comments, I'm a bit more interested in seeing Tangled. I kind of skipped it, mainly because from the early preview I saw it looked like "just another" of the recent CG family movies that quite honestly have been starting to run together a bit. Maybe I'll give it a chance though.

The last movie I saw was "Jummy" Mathews' Emanuelle and the Porno Nights. Mondo Erotico was much, much better, but I'd probably like Porno Nights more if I could understand Laura Gemser's commentary. The seance-turned black mass-turned orgy was a great opening, I must say.

The seance-turned black mass-turned orgy was a great opening, I must say. Yeh I plan on giving Tangled a chance now. I read up on a few reviews and it sounds like it avoids some of the problems I have with a lot of the modern family 'toons. I'll admit the thing that bugs me the most about them are pop-culture jokes, especially the Dreamworks flicks. I did enjoy the first "Shrek," but it at least balanced it out with enough clever self-aware satire; I also enjoyed "Despicable Me" but it didn't really do a lot of the pop culture stuff. For some reason pop culture jokes just annoy me, unless it's a movie actually focusing and parodying modern culture at the time they just feel lazy and too easy to place. With the exception of the first one, it actually bugs me more when they do that stuff in "Shrek" and its sequels/rip-offs because it almost feels patronizing to the younger viewers, "We've gotta make sure to make references to lots of the popular stuff right now, or else little kids won't get any of the jokes that actually relate to the time period and the fairy tales we're spoofing!" I haven't seen many of the Disney 'toons lately, but I really really feared that since a lot of their modern work in live action in TV in film is nothing but popped up drek that it'd start affecting their animated flicks. I'll still have to see Tangled to be the judge of it on its own merits, but it is soothing to hear that it doesn't really do that, and I'm hoping it'll be a fun flick for me. ...sorry, I kind of went on a rant. Can't say I've seen the other flicks you mentioned, but I don't really watch a lot of that stuff. Probably because I haven't seen many convincing arguments of the difference between "Erotic Cinema" and "Porn" and while it's not that I disapprove of porn and are whining about the content, it's just I find porn really boring unless it's actually a genuinely funny porn spoof. A lot of the "Erotic Cinema" I've seen really just seems to be flashy porn though I am always told there are some out there that manage to do more than that. Oh, and I just watched Stripes. I actually had never seen it before, I thought it was a lot of fun; then again I adore Bill Murray.

Oh, and The Big Lebowski for the second time. The first time I saw it, it was enjoyable - this time, it was highly enjoyable.

Not only does it seem pointlessly offensive, but it also seems unessicary. Who or what could possibly benefit from this? I can imagine no viable story to whatever it is I just watched, meaning that its plot is just 2 hours of gay torture porn and scat for no reason. btw, Currently watching: Fl esh Gordon 2: Flesh Gordon Meets the Cosmic Cheerleaders

| I tried watching the new Harry Potter... Oh My God! It was worse then the fucking 6th one! I only made it 42min in(it feel like I was watching it for 2 hours), I was just left thinking what the fuck is going on? Do I have to read the books to understand whats happening? If so then I might as well just read the book and not watch this.
This may be spoilers but I just don't fucking care. The 1st thing you see is Voldemort with the members of Slytherin and Snape's aparently evil now. When the fuck did this happen!? I didn't even finish the 6th movie cuz it made no fucking scene either but I know Dumbladore told Snape to kill him so I guess that makes sense that he's a mole. Whatever.
Next you see Hermione erase the memory of her parents as she runs away from home... WHY!? Then you see the Dorsleys abandon Harry inside the house as they move away.. again, WHY!? Then Hermione, that weird guy with the eyeball, The Weesleys(all 17 of them) and Harged break into the house to smuggle harry into the wizard world. So they all drink a potion that makes everyone Daniel Radcliffe(One of these wankers was already to much, I don't need to see 30 of them). Why!?
Why did they have to smuggle him into the wizard world when he's gotten there in the other 6 movies with no problem. And if they're trying to sneak him over, then why was it such a big display! They flew over cars on a highway, went against traffic in a tunnel, had a big wand battle in the sky and to top it all off, they knocked over a huge fucking telephone pole over the freeway.... What the fuck!? This whole thing is taking place in the real world, the muggle world is the REAL WORLD! What dose it just not matter to the wizards anymore if the muggles know about all this shit? What the hell is going on!?
Then they go to the Weesleys house where you find out Harry is marrying Ginny. When the hell did this happen!? I don't ever remember in any of the movies where Harry proposed the the girl who opened the Chamber of Secrets. Then he bails on the wedding to find some 7 objects to fight Voldemort(at least I think thats what he said, my mind was just boggled at this point).
GHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! Fucking A that took alot out of me. I don't even think I want to finish the movie but I do want to know that the hell was going on cuz it's rare of me not to finish a movie. And I'm talking about strictly the movie's continuity. And if the book and the movie's continuity is intertwined then that the fuck is the point of the movie if it's impossible to fully comprehend without reading the book?

I concur with Rizzo; spoilers may have been appreciated :s Allow me to go off on a tangent: I've never been a fan of Harry Potter, books or film, for one main reason. The author J. K. Rowling seems to think it's an acceptable practice in writing to just introduce characters whenever your book starts to drag. There are so many characters in the films and books, I start to lose interest in any of them, and the protagonists have so many sub-plots, I always find myself wondering 'why, what, who, where, when'. Sure I understand it's a children's novel, but it seems like Rowling wrote the books for the sole purpose of creating a huge fan-base on pointless lore, almost in an attempt to bridge fictional prose with the likes of Warhammer and Pokémon. But she was not always as such an inclined writer, as the earlier books are more tolerable. I've personally read 5 of them, and decided there was nothing to gain by the sixth, but have noticed that she never used to write in such an inclined manner. Her earlier work in the series is more readable. Characters are introduced for the plot opposed to lore and quirky, pointless sub-plots, and this is how a book should read. It's common play for an author to write a book and introduce characters progressively, but only if they develop the story, characters or plot. This is my peeve with her style of writing.

| There's only one thing about Harry potter that bothers me. In the third book, it's established hat no only does time travel exist in this universe, but it's apparently a magic that's easy enough to get access to; Hogwarts is supposed to have at least a dozen of the devices it loans out to it's damn students. the question, then, is why is this ability never exploited by either of the two main factions? While admittedly it wold be morally questionable, couldn't Dumbledore have saved a great number of lives - Spoiler:
(including his own)

Presumably, like you mentioned, for moral reasons. Also, it's highly possible that Voldemort also has time-travelling devices in his possession. If Dumbledore started travelling back in time, Voldemort would probably do so too.
