Yeah, it's something that isn't very well explored, but this does exist. What are your favorites? Personally one of my favorites ever is:
This is also a pretty popular cult movie by John Flynn, a guy who's known for doing great action films. Gist of the film is this: Guy sees an ad for a game in a horror mag claiming to be the biggest and baddest interactive murder experience ever made, he calls up and before he gets a chance to even order it, they tell him its on its way. Lo and behold, the game comes, he plugs in and he's instantly transported to a house and ends up murdering a random innocent victim. Turns out, the guy actually gets murdered by him. Great fun, and for you venture bros' fans, the villain is played by T. Ryder Smith who also does the voice of Baron Ünderbheit.
There's also the classic by blacksploitation master Greydon Clark (it also happens to be the name of this part of the forum!)

Can "The Wizard" be considered video game exploitation? Nintendosploitation.

It most certainly can be. It was made to get nintendo fans in the theater, that's it's hook.

The Wizard was essentially a 90 minute Nintendo/Super Mario Brothers 3 commercial, so yeah, exploitation definitely.
