| Yeah, Krusty is one of those characters that really wouldn't be able to take the lead in an animated show/sitcom unless he had a *really* good supporting cast of characters. | |

| This always made me wonder why the Simpsons never spawned a spin-off as well. Normally successful series spawn multiple spin-offs. Happy Days had five of them. All in the Family had three. Even OK or bad shows spawn one. 90210 spawned Melrose Place. Simpsons none.
Except for a hand full of shows, spin-offs are just a old 1970s and ‘80s relic I guess.
