| The good news is that it immediately warmed up after the storm ended, so it's melting/clearing quickly, but there's still people in the outlying areas without power, and cleanup is just kind of unbelievable -- I've never seen so many downed trees in my life. | |

| Storm Atlas, recovery phase: Bear in mind, this is one of three branch debris drop-offs in my town. And it's hard to estimate, but probably about half of what got knocked down has been hauled to these spots by this point. What they plan to do with all those wood chips, I have no earthly clue. | |

| Fortunately, I have a feline-based heater sleeping next to me. But ChaosTheory, that looks bad. We had that kind of storm a few years ago - the kind that flattens every forest it reaches - and there were quite a few suicides among the people who owned forest. Ruined in a night... So I hope you are well, your family is well, and I recommend a feline-based heater. | |

I do have a feline-based heater lol. I'm sorry to hear that about those forest owners. There's definitely a lot of people here whose livelihoods have been completely fucked up, though there was no human loss of life in the storm itself. | |
