PostSubject: The Cinema Snob's 350th Episode Suggestions   The Cinema Snob's 350th Episode Suggestions EmptyWed May 21, 2014 10:12 pm

With "Sasquatch Week" over, we can still make suggestions for the Snob's 350th episode.
I guess these kind of episodes are based on people, characters & genres that are mentioned in the Snob's reviews.
Here are my suggestions for the time being.

"Shot-On-Shitteo Week"
'Porno Spoof Week"
"John Carradine Week"
"Turkish Week"
"Ted V. Mikels Week"

FILM COMPILATION WEEK
Feature clip film releases used to promote VHS back in the day.

TERROR IN THE AISLES (1984), hosted by Donald Pleasence and Nancy Allen.

THE BEST OF SEX AND VIOLENCE (1981), hosted by John Carradine.

FILMGORE (1983), hosted by Elvira.

FAMOUS T & A (1982), hosted by Sybil Danning.

ZOMBITHON (1986), featuring zombies in a movie theater watching clips and trailers.

TIM KINCAID WEEK
Movies by lesser known direct-to-video director Tim Kincaid, who has since gone on to direct gay porn.

ROBOT HOLOCAUST (1986), featured on MST3K. A drifter named Neo battles robots who have enslaved mankind.

BAD GIRL DORMITORY (1986), women's prison inmates turn against the corrupt Warden.

BREEDERS (1986), women are being raped by an alien creature.

MUTANT HUNT (1987), a scientist turns cyborgs into mindless killing machines.

THE OCCULTIST (1987), a cyborg detective agrees to protect a Caribbean president visiting New York City.

A F#CKING SEQUEL WEEK
The Snob can review sequels and/or films related to movies he's already done. He does that, but this time all in one week. Some options...

RETURN TO BOGGY CREEK (1977), I'm actually disappointed this Dawn Wells sequel wasn't featured on Sasquatch Week.

TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 2 (1986)

DEBBIE DOES DALLAS PART II (1981)

WHITE SLAVE (1985) aka "CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST 2: THE CATHERINE MILES STORY

CRACKERJACK 2: HOSTAGE TRAIN (1997), this time starring Judge Reinhold.

SATURDAY THE 14TH STRIKES AGAIN (1988)

BASKET CASE 2 (1990)

I would include SILENT NIGHT DEADLY NIGHT 4 or 5, but I guess we can wait for Christmas to see if Brad is interested in one of those.

EDITED: I excluded FRIDAY THE 13TH 3 from the list.

I'd personally love a PUBLIC DOMAIN WEEK 2
CHILLER (1985), Wes Craven directed TV movie about man brought out of cryofreeze without his soul.

EMBRYO (1976), Rock Hudson is a scientist working in fetus embryos, and he creates the perfect woman, until she begins to age rapidly and turns homicidal. Also has Roddy McDowell and former Bond girl Barbara Carrera.

END OF THE WORLD (1977), Christopher Lee plays duo roles as a priest who discovers his alien counterpart is out to take over the world. Supposedly Lee called this the worst film he's ever made.

NIGHT TRAIN TO TERROR (1985), God and Satan discuss souls they've harvested in this anthology made up from unfinished movies. Has Richard Moll and John Philip Law in it.

ALIEN CONTAMINATION (1980), alien pod clones from Mars film more commonly called "CONTAMINATION" but this Cannon Films version may be in the public domain. If not then...

DRIVE IN MASSACRE (1977), a killer is on the loose in a drive-in theater.

He should review his first Cinema-snob shows. You know: those with bad sound, bad lighting and almost only z-grade movies.

That's a cool idea. I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE TOO and ILSA: TIGRESS OF SIBERIA are other possibilities.

EMANUELLE WEEK

Of course this could be tricky as basically everything the lovely Laura Gemser appeared in got a "Black Emanuelle" title slapped on it at some point, but he could start with the original French "arthouse" flick, and then follow up with a couple of Gemser's (EMANUELLE IN AMERICA and EMANUELLE & THE LAST CANNIBALS could work) and then maybe EMANUELLE IN SPACE or one of the other made-for-Cinemax luffers.

It's funny you mentioned Tim Kincaid b/c I was just thinking the other day MUTANT HUNT would be a great one to snob. Laughing

Ok back on topic..  Rolling Eyes

I'm still in favor of the giant monsters week. We're still yet to see the review for Pulgasari, goddammit! Or how about Troma week?

edit: BTW I think he should do theme weeks more often anyways. If he does an average of episode/week it's gonna be roughly 2 years before he hits that 350..

It's also June 13th, like in the first movie. 6 and 7 are my personal favorites, so I look forward to his reviews of those, whenever that is.

I propose Sean Connery week. I mean he's going to do Zardoz and Highlander II sooner or later anyway. And the green glitter Connery sports in Sword of the Valiant has to be seen to be believed.
