Man Receives 3-Year Prison Sentence For Comics

A man who was turned over to authorities by his wife after finding files titled "incest comics" on his computer and later plead guilty has been sentenced to 3 years in prison including 5 years of supervised release.
He was convicted under United States obscenity laws.

granted i haven't read the comics or have any with that in them as far as i know. but it's a WTF situation.

when i was in high school we use to before math class have our teacher read some articles from the newspaper and it was actually my favorite part of the day cause some of the stuff would be interesting and some would of course be stupid

for example. i recall a couple other things 1. would be the finding of a bible that was i believe going back the 13 or 15th century or something like that. it was i think the oldest bible that had been found at that time. i dunno if that's been beaten since the 90's. another one was they had a thing about this old married couple who were i believe in their 100's.

who had been married 80 years! and both of them were still alive and well. that still amazes me. no doubt both of them have since i'm sure died since than. but still that's a record where both of them got married at age 20 and were still happy. i dunno if i ever heard of anyone living that long where both spouses are still alive. anyways.

the story i'm referring to was about this i believe 16 year old kid. who's father for his 16th b-day got him a hooker
for his birthday. ok. well he of course lost it to her. there's no other way to put it. than he went to the cops and fucking reported his dad about the hooker and had his dad arrested!

it's a WTF moment. this sounds a bit like that were this time it's the wife and it's comic books.

i dunno what comic it is nor have i read it either i'm sure. but really he gets 3 years for this?

I wonder about his wife, maybe they weren't getting along and she was just holding onto that whole incest thing just for when he did something to piss her off. But yeah that's a bullshit law, no one should go to jail for having a comicbook.

Incest is a very complex thing to discuss since yeah, as long as it just stays in the family I SUPPOSE it's okay but I won't dive deeper into it.

He has a fascination for picking women, yeah comics aren't that bad and what not and incest is no wrong...So...Wouldn't the logical thing to do is trace down the ones who wrote the comic and not the guy who made it? It's like getting arrested for owning porn. Though tracing the owners would be complicated...I dunno what I'd do without Debby does Dalas and Sex Criminals.

you raise a good point on that man. you know i believe you should be allowed to write about anything in your comic books or books if you please. incest is nasty and disgusting we all know that, i dunno how it was portrayed in the comics this guy had but it's still not as bad as like i said 2 years ago kiddie porn. i don't see the law going after some redneck who ends up marrying his sister, now if she's under age that's different cause yeah they may go after him for that.
