I Got To Meet Star Trek's George Takei Empty

I went to an autograph signing at a comic book shop at Times Square in NYC.
And the guest was none other than Mr. Sulu himself, George Takei.
He signed the newest Archie comic.
I told him about how I traveled back in time in real life.
Here's how I told him my story.
"I left Tokyo for America last year on Thanksgiving Day at sunset, then when I finally arrived back home, it was still Thanksgiving and the sun didn't set yet. That was the closest I ever came to actual time travel."
And here is his response to my story.
"If you fly in the other direction before your birthday, you will stay the same young age for an extra day."
OH MY! Now those are words of wisdom that just blew my mind.
It was a real honor meeting George Takei in person.
Here are some photos of me with him & my signed comic along with a certificate of authenticity.

I can't seem to find the link again, but I recently listened to a radio special/podcast Takei did with Howard Stern about how when he was a child during WW2 he spent time in several Japanese-American internment camps. Crazy stuff to think about what our country was willing to do to its own citizens during the war, and to think that he lived through that.

I'm also still impressed that Archie comics are still around. When I was a kid I used to read the Sonic the Hedgehog comic they published (which is also still around, amazingly enough).

I remember watching an Obama campaign video before the recent election this year of George telling the story about himself & his family's internment.

Here's a video of George on Howard Stern's podcast.
