| What PG-13 or PG movies would you like to make NC-17?
That is, would you have "remade" as NC-17?

| Robocop. i haven't seen the remake yet to be fair. but that's a film that should have been made as an NC-17 film and NOT a PG-13 flm | |

| Most of the Bond movies are PG-13 (or the British equivalent), aren't they? Bond really should be an NC-17 protagonist. | |

And thus kill any chance of a good box office?

And thus kill any chance of a good box office? I'm not sure that's a fair reputation - you could argue that "Showgirls" wasn't exactly the ideal material to try out the title and once the rep is there it's self-reinforcing. But, we're assuming here that NC-17 is not a box office killer. Purely artistic merits. ETA: Perhaps it's better to say it wasn't destined to be box office poison. It maybe too late to do anything about it now.

| Every single "Unrated" version of movies that were forced to be cut by the MPAA in order to recieve an "R" rating. | |

| NUKIE.
I don't quite get how they determine what should and shouldn't get that rating though. Admittedly I've only seen a few NC-17 movies (other than SHOWGIRLS) - CRASH, SHAME, and KILLER JOE all dealt with pretty extreme/dark subject matter but the actual shown content didn't seem any more graphic than what you get in a typical Apatow-produced comedy.
