Get to know your fellow Snobaholics - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Get to know your fellow Snobaholics   Get to know your fellow Snobaholics - Page 4 EmptyWed Jan 19, 2011 4:42 pm

Greg from California here. In my dreams, I'm a world famous film director going on dates with Anna Kendrick and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. In reality, I work at Wal-Mart. Crying or Very sad

I'm an old-school Snob fan, I was watching him on Youtube long before Spoony's promotion. My first Snob video was "Exit the Dragon, Enter the Tiger," and I was hooked ever sense. As someone studying film, I think it's important to cover all your bases, and while I may have a sizeable Criterion collection, I also really enjoy the schlocky and explotative, and I've seen pretty much all of the easy-to-find Bruno Mattai and Godfrey Ho films. If you couldn't tell from my avatar, "Robo Vampire" is my favorite party movie ever. I come from the tail-end of that generation where you could watch Godzilla movies at three a.m., and better yet, one of my old local UHF stations would have a Gamera marathon every month, so I kind of indirectly grew up a kaiju lover as well.

I hope to fun with you guys!

Griff Morivan, Aged 22 (Mostly, January 21st 1989, so, nearly), living in Tampa Florida with my wife, Lynnie. I'm another wannabe film maker, currently only wanna be because the lack of funding... and actors... And equipmeanyways. My brother and I are pretty constantly toying with ideas for films, location scouting in Tampa and St. Petersburg. No idea what we'd like to shoot, but we know we'd like to make a movie some day.

Been watching the Snob since Monkey with 72 Magic back on the ol' Tube. A title that I, to this day, do not understand. Since watching Brad's material, I think my tastes as a movie goer have expanded to include... well... schlock and Nic Cage. I think it's my age, I just didn't get the good stuff when I was younger. But at any rate.

I'm also the second in command of the Spoony Experiment's SnarkVent. I just... can't... get on SnarkVent cause my main computer just broke. But if you should visit us, I'm Griff there, too.

My name is Daniel Kepley, and I come from Delaware. I was born on March 3, 1980. I have an extensive collection of movies and TV series on DVD and Blu-Ray estimated at around 350 to 400 and counting! My favorite movie in general is BLADE RUNNER, and my favorite horror movie is THE EVIL DEAD. I visit horror conventions in Maryland to get my DVD and Blu-Ray inserts or sleeves signed by the actors, actresses, directors, and special effects artists attending. My page on MySpace has photos of my convention visits since 2005 (the year that I had photos that I could save onto computer; I first attended in the summer of 2003).
Daniel Kepley's MySpace Page

I have been a Cinema Snob fan since the fall of 2009, when I followed a link to this site on the AVManiacs forums. The topic was BLACK DEVIL DOLL FROM HELL, and I watched the review and laughed my butt off! Since then, I have regularly visited the Snob's website to see what he would review next, and I even commented on some of the reviews as well. I also enjoy "The Big Box," "Brad Tries," and "Kung-Tai Ted." In fact, last year I ordered and received a Pierre Kirby t-shirt; a few people ask me who he is and I explain to those people the movies he's been in. I opened a Netflix account in April of last year just to see the movies that the Snob has reviewed. In addition to the Snob, I also enjoy Angry Video Game Nerd, Film Brain, Nostalgia Critic, and Obscurus Lupa!

I'm Tommy Wiseau. Not the filmmaker obviously, but as you can guess I'm an extreme fan of The Room. I'm 16 and I've been watching the Snob since March.

My first Snob video? ET the Porno. Shocked

I often go by the shortened form of my name, Mel.

I live in California. I'm working on an MFA in writing so I guess that makes me a writer. And I'm pretty enthralled with everything Brad does on this site. I've always been a huge fan of movies good and bad. I'm sitting in a room with over 800 DVDs at the moment. And I hope to be watching Brad's videos for a long time to come.

Hello, my name is Mike, but my nickname around the nets is Scooter. I'm 21 years old. (December 8th, 1989) I'm from a somewhat small city in Central Wisconsin known as Stevens Point.

I've been on YouTube since '07. I was making some videos until I discovered TGWTG. That made me decide to become a reviewer. So, since music is passion. I decided to review music videos because nobody really reviews vintage music videos. So, I've been planning that out lately. Besides music videos, I will review some movies and maybe a couple of TV shows, but it's mostly music videos & music. I would call myself a Music Snob.

I'm currently in college (a tech college) under a business management degree. Making videos is kind of hard to make when you're in school. So, I just make videos when I have time off from school.

The way I discovered Brad was of course, through Spoony. I think my first review of his that I saw was "Nailgun Massacre". Ever since that, I've been hooked on his videos. I enjoy all of Brad series, "Brad Tries", "Kung Tai Ted", "The Big Box", and etc.

Besides my video series, I started a podcast on the TGWTG forums called "Attack of The Awesome". On the side of the podcast, we do interviews with contributors from TGWTG. You guys may have seen our interview with Brad Jones, himself. That interview is our most viewed interview because it's promoted on both his website & on his facebook. So yeah, most of you people know me from that interview. Our other interviews that we did were Doug Walker, Marzgurl, And Brad Jones. Our upcoming interviews are Obsurcus Lupa & Benzaie. The podcast itself, had a slow start. We're planning episode #5 of the podcast.

I just love TGWTG. I like Doug, Spoony, Linkara, Lupa, The Snob, Benzaie, Angry Joe, and etc. I also like the AVGN as well.

Anything else about me? Um...lately, I've been adding more movies to my Movie/DVD collection. And I'm also collecting songs/music for my music collection. I guess I could say that I'm collecting music videos, but those are for me to watch for reviewing.

Well, that's pretty much me.

The Room is one of my all time favorite films, I have seen Tommy Wiseau in person and talked to him for a bit at one of his midnight screenings. Glad to know that there are other people who appreciate this masterpiece of a film without joining the hating of The Room bandwagon that most viewers have on TGWTG's members.

Let me introduce myself as well.

I'm Richard. I'm from Holland (cause The Netherlands doesn't roll off the tongue quite as nicely) where I reside in a small little town.
I'm into music (industrial/neo-folk/noise/dark ambient), movies (pretty much all genres but mainly exploitation/horror/sci-fi and weird stuff), shopping, friends and beer.
I've been called geek/otaku/goth/weird but in general people describe me as a nice guy (who's a bit eccentric) Smile

My favorite movie is Shiki-Jitsu and my favorite bad movie is Deathstalker 2.

Oh and I'm the sick fuck Brad quoted who liked A Serbian Film lol.

Yup I love Jhonen Vasquez. I like his artstyle and black humor a lot .
I was the one who called it a fun modern exploitation lol. Maybe not the right choice of words on my part hehe.

Hello, Everyone. I'm Slait. I'm 22, and I'm into all kinds of stuff. Games, Movies, Reading, DnD, Outdoor things, Building stuff. I'm also going to college come spring... and failing that, Definitely summer for Computer InfoTech specialist. My favorite genre of music is classic rock. Favorite band is Red Hot Chili Peppers. I'll watch nearly anything, no matter how bad and difficult it is to sit through. And what's more, I can always find something good to say about it. Least favorite movie genre is drama, but I still delve into it on occasion. My favorite genres are classic horror and action. Comedy too, if it isn't degradingly cheap.

My favorite movie is a really tough call, considering I have favorites... but nothing that stands out enough to make it my single favorite. I really enjoy the 1978 version of Jackie Chan's Drunken Master, I like anything with Bela Lugosi in it, Any Godzilla, Any Bruce Lee (authentic, Not Bruce-sploitation) and Killer Klowns from Outer Space will always rank pretty high. As far as Mainstream horrors go, My favorite series is Nightmare on Elm Street. Freddy knows how to kill people AND crack jokes about it. Nothing like a knife-fingered pie-throwing psycho path to lighten up your night.

I have sort of a slow job as a late night telephone operator. Some nights, I only answer maybe 15 calls that take around 15 seconds each to answer... So I have a lot of time in those dull eight and a half hours to watch internet critic reviews. I usually check TGWTG for new stuff, then retreat to either the Snob or Spoony's vids directly after. Used to be LordKat too, but when he changed his livestream, my work computer's abilities failed to keep up... so it crashes the system each time I go to LK's site. Blip TV is a handy site, btw.

Huzzah for long winded intros.

Eh. It's awesome to get paid for effectively sitting around doing nearly nothing all night. And we get alot of nutter calls, which always brighten up a night. It's perfect for studying. But on the other side of the coin, the pay isn't much. It's a lot of nothing. And since we're limited on our PCs, some nights can only be described as absolute Purgatory. =P It's good for now, but it'll be great to move on to something a little more active on down the line.

Hello everyone I'm Kevin, and I am a doer of all things nerdy. (Seriously, name a nerdy thing and I've probably done it at least once)

I am an 18 year old college student studying computer science at East Tennessee State University.

Sometimes, when we think we're being clever my friends and I will make videos for the interwebz. This rarely works out.

Also, I have an ever-growing DVD collection that is steadily consuming my life.

No, but seriously. I don't smoke, although I love the smell of cigars (dunno why, just do. Hate the smell of cigarettes), but I love me some crown, and I am currently cradling a 2lt of Dr Pepper.
