I've seen it. Its mundane. And I didnt quite get what is the scene.
Spoiler:

This movie is pretty well-filmed and well-directed but so called scene that cannot be unseen is nothing special actually. Films contains some hilarious moments though

Yeah, it's pretty aggressively horrible. It succeeds at what it's going for.

yeah i saw it last night, it was pretty fucked up...

although to the movies credit, i really didnt see the ending love scene twist coming, but dont get me wrong it was still disturbing as hell, also i really did enjoy the actor who played Milos, his performance really was enjoyable to me.

Yeah, watch Suede's review of Elfen Lied, and you'll get my reaction.

I watched it. Visually, it didn't bother me that much. It was one of those movies where afterwards I feel a bit saddened and depressed. Because you realize there really are people out there who do these things. The visuals in the movie itself, though, didn't really bother me. I've seen worse. Personally, I'd say Cannibal Holocaust was worse for what happens in the film because those animals really were killed.

Seeing something that is fake has no real effect on me... it's more disturbing when it's real.

I don't personally empathize with animals. As someone who loves to eat meat I don't in any way feel violence towards animals the same way I feel anything regarding people being abused. So even real violence towards animals doesn't compare to violence or sexual assault towards a person. Especially children.

I'm not a vegetarian or anything... but I think it's quite rough to see anything die. To me, fake is fake. Some people have a problem with seeing things in film... but at the end of the day if I know what I watched wasn't real, I'm alright.

Like those kids that were filming snuff clips to try to sell but got sent to prison... Ugh, fucking little pricks deserve anything that happens to them in jail. And while I'm quite fond of August Underground, a movie that depicts the kinds of acts they did, I find what they did completely deplorable and I will never watch anything like that. That is sick. As long as it's fake... I'm good.

I know it seems like I'm just repeating myself, I apologize.

Well I'm not saying I can't tell the difference between real and fake, but this movie is just saddening. It owes a lot to the way all of this is depicted, it keeps a very serious tone throughout. Cannibal Holocaust is an exploitation film, it's kind of having fun with it's debauchery. This movie is trying to make you feel bad, and it succeeds I think. It's so hopeless and so dark. There is a certain sophistication in how it's made, because it's not depicted in an unrealistic way. Everything in this movie could feasibly happen. A lot of this stuff actually does happen in real life aside from the video element.

Oh yeah, totally. I agree. That's why it made me feel saddened and a bit depressed when I watched it. There is a really dark side to humanity. Most of the time you don't think about it. But then you watch a movie that really wants to hit you with that and it's effective. This movie did effect me on a mental/emotional level. I just meant that visually I didn't find it all that disturbing. It most definitely is on a psychological level.

I saw it awhile ago. Just about a month or so before Brad's review. I am one that seeks out depravity in film, just to see if anything will even come close to shocking or disturbing me, because nothing has. Cannibal Holocaust...Salo...Gummo...The August Underground films...Inside...none of them even came close to bothering me. I thought this would be the one, and I was wrong. I will say it came the closest, though. It wasn't so much that infamous scene in particular. That honestly didn't bother me at all because of the absurdity behind it. It was the "family reunion" scene at the end that made me say "Oh wow...okay...". The one thing Brad was spot on about is that you can't recommend this film to anyone, no matter how well the film was made, because what kind of person are you to be watching something like this, you know?

Oh, and Antichrist fucking SUCKED! I generally like artsy, pretentious films. But it was just so boring and pointless, and shocking for the sake of being shocking.

This means absolutely nothing given that a film is a visual medium. You cannot be undisturbed "visibly" and disturbed "psychologically" from watching something. Any distinction is imaginary.

they were psychopaths who killed 40+ small pets like cats and dogs until they video taped them killing a man the video is on a Ukraine server so the us government cant take it down and the internet privacy act says we have the right to see it so its kinda messed up

I'm in the opposite boat myself. I can handle pretty much any caliber of violence against a human being, of any age, assuming that I already know that it's staged. I don't like the idea of slaughtering an animal onscreen, because actually killing a creature for the sake of entertainment just seems wrong. For the record, I don't mind staged animal deaths.

I grew up on old Disney movies were seeing any animal death on a movie, staged or not, would make me feel much worse then a human dieing strangely enough.

Probably because animals are almost always cuter than humans, and it's just really, really easy to sympathize with something cute.

Um what? The images don't bother me. The thoughts behind it do. As in... I can watch graphic and violent things and I'm cool with that. The things that disturb me are what you have to think about and realize as a truth. Such as the fact that people really do those things that are in A Serbian Film.
