"Mondo Cane" Director/Creator Passes Away

Gualtiero Jaccopetti, the creator and director of the notorious "Mondo Cane" shockumentary film series passed away back in 2011 at the age of 91.
The filmmaking was breathtaking as it was shocking.
May he rest in piece.

Great filmmaker, despite what some critics might think of him.

When I heard, I was shocked. Jaccopetti never slowed down; the man was completely nuts in the way only and Italian artist can be. You get a definite sense of it in Blue Underground's "Godfathers of Mondo" documentary, which is a real gem. I really wish he had made more films.

I remember watching Godfathers of Mondo recently.
