honestly i had no idea they were even STILL making it! 13 years is still a damn good run though. they had rarely as far as i know put out NEW games anyways. cept for the annual sports games and to my knowledge that's about it;.

Sony, like Nintendo tend to support their consoles either with software or support for 10-20 years after the initial release. Till 2005, you could send your 8-bit NES to them and they would fix it.

This is one aspect of Sony I do enjoy, the consumer support..though it has been lax in recent years (I called about getting my PS3 fixed and they asked if it was a fat model, I said yes, and they said they do not service them and suggested I purchase a new system).

i had no idea that Nintendo did this for the original system. and really they said that to you? that's fucked up my friend.

honestly having the PS3 getting even more slimmer is fucking retarded. once ok that doesn't bother me. even Nintendo does that. but 2 times getting it thinner? SERIOUSLY?

my point is they are going to keep changing the system they should support the older models as well.

I actually thought they had stopped making the PS2 about 3 years ago. It had a good run. I had one until about a year ago; I loved chilling out with Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk, Bully and Star Wars: Force Unleashed.

i still got mine i just haven't played it in awhile. well no i recall them saying they were going to keep making it until the demand stops. and apparently it stopped cause people are i think playing well the Vita, the PSP or the PS3 and also waiting to hear about the PS4 to worry about the PS2.


trying saying that 3 times fast! he he. but that's my guess anyways. i don't see many stores carry them them anymore. and those that do kinda look like it's left over stock they want to get rid of. when i got mine is (2009) i think it was?

for only $60.00! they still had a shitload of them in stores and new games were still being made back than too.
i got it cause of "Ghostbusters' that i ended up getting the day it came out i believe?

after that year they i think cut back on the games and made lesser of them. at least that's my guess on it anyways.

well the Atari 2600 ceased production in 1990, after 4 versions (Sunnyvale, Light Sixer, 4 switch, and Jr.), tying with the PS2. I do think there was a console that had a longer production run, not by much.

I think the Famicom and Super Famicom ceased production the same day in 2003, with the famicom originally released in 1983, it could be the longest production run for a game console.

really? i didn't know that. atari was around for a long ass time too. what really makes me sick honestly is when these companies i'm talking about you nintendo. who puts out say the SNES in (1991) and 5 years later we get the N64 my point is i don't think we need a system every 5 years it should be a bit longer than than. cause let's face it not everyone

gets systems when they 1st come out. and with what they sell them for these days i just got my PS3 in March it'll be 2 years ago. and the PS4 if it doesn't come out this year will most likely come out next year. and honestly that's a good amount of time. same goes for the X-box as well.

i really do apperiate that. and sorry for my bad spelling. i know a little bit about video games but not like most people. like since they stopped making nintendo power and playstation magazine plus gamepro i'm kinda fucked & NOT in a good way on what's coming out next.

i know more about music but if really depends on the era i think. and of course the band. i don't listen to most of today's music for example cause it sucks ass. but that's just me i guess. my point is depending on what group if it's music or when it comes to video games i always an interesting in finding out new stuff. ya know?
