I've discovered some interesting trivia about the 2012 remake to 1984's "Red Dawn".
The original release date was set to be released over a year ago, but was delayed.
Why you must ask?
It's because the enemy in the film was originally the Chinese.
Fearing a possible political backlash from China, the makers of the film digitally replaced Chinese markings to North Korean markings.

In the past, America made numerous movies about the Vietnam War (Platoon, We Were Soldiers, Rambo: First Blood Part 2, Full Metal Jacket, etc).
Q: Did Vietnam go to war with us again because of we made these films?
A: No, they just banned the films from being released in their country.
