I think the first season was okay, better than Simpsons (that's not saying much). Right after the first season it turned into complete shit for some reason.

Not really a fan. I'm a bit of a comedy snob.

British humour is very dry, almost to the point of nasty. I much prefer comedy series that strike that chord.

Also I get the feeling Family Guy can't decide whether it wants to be a sit-com or a sketch show.

That said I laughed my arse off at the Benjamin Disraeli reference.

I used to really like family guy when it first aired, but now it has gotten stale, like Allen Alda directing MASH stale. There are some good episodes here and there (I actually enjoyed the Star Wars episodes), but I think they need new writers, STAT. And Yes, Seth Needs to stop using his connections tp push his political and religious views. I am an atheist, and I don't give a damn if Bryan is one too, as well as a hard core liberal.

I've had to watch some with friends, and it just feels to me like if Eli Roth made a cartoon series. The show just seems to prod the audience with "Hey? Hey? This is funny, isn't it? Hey, isn't this funny?" with either nothing happening or things going on too long, It just feels rather pointless. But my sense of humor is VERY dry and almost staggeringly bent towards the surreal, so it's really not my show.

How did they make a Benjamin Disraeli reference? That's hilarious in and of itself.

I hated Family Guy long before I watched the South Park episodes about how stupid family guy is...

I've been finding Fox's animation lineup shows (including The Simpsons) virtually indistinguishable from each other, so I just watch whatever has a plot that sounds interesting to me on whatever week. I like The Cleveland Show just fine, in contrast to the "can't stand it" response I've noticed on here and elsewhere. If I don't catch everything on Sunday, I pick and choose what I want to watch based on the Hulu listings. American Dad! is definitely better structured than Family Guy.
