| Nick Zedd is the director of "Geek Maggot Bingo". I thought it was weird that in The Cinema Snob review his involvement in the Cinema of Transgression of the '80s wasn't mentioned. Since those movie are what he is known for. He made short movies with Richard Kern (now soft-core porn photographer) which had graphic sex and violence. One of the films "Thrust in Me" shows Zedd ejaculating into a "dead" woman's mouth. He also made a film called "War is Menstrual Envy" which features a nude woman on green screen (an ocean is keyed in) having sex with a fake octopus. "Geek Magot Bingo" was made when he was like 20. He got a lot crazier (and better) later on.
Has anyone seen his films, or Richard Kern's films? I recommend them. You can get a bunch of them in a collection called "The Hardcore Collection" on Amazon.com.

| Well, they're more artsy-fartsy than "Necromantic", but still really sleazy. The best ones of the bunch are Richard Kern's "Submit to Me Now" which shows a bunch of people committing over the top suicides set to punk rock music. And "Fingered", which is like a even darker, short version of "Natural Born Killers" (if that makes sense) made in the '80s. There's a review somewhere by John Waters saying that he shows "Fingered" to house guests. Also, get this. If you want to see "Thrust in Me", it's on YouTube, I crap you not, mouth-ejaculation and all: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTaI8HD75sk | |

| "Thrust in Me" is part of Kern's "Manhattan Love Suicide" series. As a whole, it's there pretty great. "Thrust in Me" is not the better of the series. The best one is "Stray Dogs" with painter David Wojnarowicz as crazy stalker who literally falls apart. It has some pretty damn funny acting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBPHCV95rpA | |

| Ah, Lydia Lunch. Lovely to look at, but her performance art is...something I could have lived without seeing. The movies are certainly not fun to watch, but they're a time capsule of when they were made, like Mondo New York. I kind of admire that they could do that, not so much that they did. I still think Geek Maggot Bingo looks like great fun, though. | |

Her music's decent though. I have a split LP with her on one side and The Birthday Party (Nick Cave's old band) on the other. Genuinely decent album.
