Which bad Italian films would you like to see the Snob review? Although Italy had a interesting, and somewhat decent film industry, some of their films are either cheap or plainly just ripoffs. Tell what you think should be reviewed.

I don't really have much experience with Italian films except for those of Dario Argento and those are good, well most of them... well some of them. Razz

Yeah, some like Mother of Tears. That one was awful. And you wonder "Where has he gone?"

I've got one: LIGHT BLAST, a 1985 actionsploitation film directed by Enzo G. Castellari (THE INGLORIOUS BASTARDS). This movie stars Erik Estrada as a San Francisco Police Inspector investigating an extortion plot by a mad scientist who kind of looks like Wilford Brimley. This scientist has a laser that is shot at digital clock displays and causes things and people to melt! I saw this movie on WGBS Philly 57 a few times back in 1997 and just bought the Code Red DVD. Curiously, this film is in the Post-Apocalyptic Collection despite the fact that it is set in present time (i.e. 1985) and is really a cop action thriller with sci-fi elements. When I watched this movie again, I immediately thought of what the Cinema Snob might say about it.

I heard that movie was awful. The soundtrack was cool... probably because Goblin was involved with the music.

While I love the guy, Lucio Fulci had his hand in some really bad films. He's gone from masterpieces like Zombi 2 and The Beyond to crappy choices like his two tv movies House of Clocks and The Sweet House of Horrors.

The next Snob episode is going to be a masterpiece of Italian cinema.

That's all I can say.

Don't ask, because as soon as you do, one will turn up.

If there was one, it would be called 'Eating the Tossed Salad'.
