| Anyone here have suggestions for things that 80's Dan can look at. I had two in mind:
a) Have 80's Dan be exposed to that godawful sitcom "That 80's Show" and have him freak about it.
b) Have him tackle the show "AfterMash".

| Also keep in mind that Dan will cover anything 80s related, not just TV shows. The next episode of 80's Dan will be video game related. | |

| I figured it wasn't gonna be just TV Shows, but those are two ideas that popped into my head. | |

| I think Purple Rain would be pretty awesome, even if it's not that obscure. | |

I could totally see everyone in the cast getting pissed off trying to land the plane in the first level of Top Gun with 80's Dan being annoyingly optimistic about it. "Come on gang! You can do it! I believe in you!"

| So does it have to be something from the 80's or just 80's related? Because That 80's show really could be a great idea. It almost writes itself. | |

| I could totally see the whole gang riffing on how bad That 80's Show is while Dan slowly but surely loses his good natured attitude and flips out on everyone. | |

| I wonder what kind of 80s horror movies Dan likes? Personally I would like to see an episode on any particular vampire movie like either Fright Night or The Lost Boys, where Dan discovers where the vampire genre went to today especially (God help me) Twilight! | |

Wow! Sorry about that. I honestly remember it as part of the 80's. Guess I wasn't ready to let go of the 80's in 1990. Maybe 90's Don can review it.

| I said this under the pilot episode in the comments section, but I feel that Brad should skip the x-rated humor in this series. I know his humor in general is pretty raunchy, but he already does those things in all his other skits. If he wants this to feel like some cheeseball show actually made in the 80's but presented here in 2011 then he should also try to match the style of humor from that era. Things that are more implied like double entendres which were big back in those days.
Obviously Brad, you do what feels right for your show. But as I watched none of those jokes really worked. Just my take on it though. I guess I thought it should feel more pre-Kevin Smith.
As for the laugh track, I loved it. I do agree it should be used a bit less though.
Other than that, I dug the episode and look forward to another.

I think the jokes worked for the modern day characters, just to show how not-80s TV they are, though I agree that they do stick out. Dan's cheery reactions to them are fun. Is Americathon (1979) too early for the show? It's set in the future, and made some really wacky predictions that an 80s viewer would find funny, but modern viewers would find weirdly prophetic. For example, China embracing capitalism and becoming a world power, smoking being banned, Nike becoming a multinational company, and the collapse of the USSR. It was directed by Neal Isreal, the guy who brought us the great "Tunnelvision."

| 80s Flicks like "Hot Dog: The Movie" (1983) and "Tomboy" (1985) and Remo Williams
Nintendo's "Jaws" videogame (1987)
80s spectacles like Captain Eo, The Garbage Pails Kids (not the movie, the cards),
Merchandise for kids that was inspired by "R" rated and adult action movies like Rambo Bubble Gum (that for some reason got singled out by Siskel and Ebert)

| I love 80's Dan and have a few ideas for reviews.
1. The first WrestleMania from 1985. In the mid 80s wrestle was hot. 2. A United States Football League game. 3. Hamburger the Motion Picture. 4. A night of watching the original TGIF lineup. (Perfect Strangers, Full House, Mr. Belvedere and Just the Ten of Us.) 5. 80's Dan trying to teach everyone how to breakdance. Or review Breakin' and Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo. 6. The original "We are the Wold." 7. The early days of MTV. 8. Review Remote Control. 9. The prime time soap. (Dallas, Dynasty, Falcon Crest and Knots Landing.) 10. The Super Bowl Shuffle
