A cult Russian art-house gore film featuring coprophagia, numerous rapes, murders and necrophilia (gore is pretty lame though). It saddens me that this movie didnt get respect and appreciation it deserve outside of Russia. Please, check this thing out, you wont regret it. It begins quite slow but if you will be able to sit though it in the end you will be rewarded with deep feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment. Truly a masterpiece, one of a kind.

Had it bookmarked for a while. It appears to be shot on shitteo. My main question is, is it an artsy Russian movie or a Schnass-esque gorefest?

It does not resembles any of Violent Shit movies. It has a plot and for some reason makes me think about ketchum's girls next door, kafka and august underground (not as gory though). Genuinely well acted this movies emphasizes disgusting characters and absurd situations butd not visual representation of people getting killed.

This movie can be really boring and difficult to watch. If you cant sit through it - skip to 40 min mark. One of the prisoners shit in a plate, covered himslef in feces and tries to make other prisoner eat his shit. Quite intense scene, if you like it this movie might be worth watching for you if not - you should skip this one.

There is also lovely corpse sex at 1 hour 07 minutes mark.

This is harder to sit through than Caligula. And that's why I love it.
