It didn't do an awesome job at making it's budget back, though.

| FREDDY GOT FINGERED GREEN LANTERN PACIFIC RIM (in the US anyway)
While it wasn't a flop, I saw MOONRISE KINGDOM in an empty theater. Everyone else was buying tickets to MAGIC MIKE & TDKR. I made the right choice.

| The only one on the Wikipedia list that I've seen in a theatre is Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. And I saw it on an Imax, too.
I still don't know what the HELL they were thinking setting it on Earth with virtually nil actual Final Fantasy elements in it. That's like making a Robotron: 2084 movie without having any robots in it.

If they had made it either based on one of the previous games or made it a sequel to one then they would have at least made a lot more money. I personally think basing it 7 would have guaranteed them a blockbuster... A lot of people complain about the CGI animation too...which is odd because it was THE best ever made at the time and they spent most of the film's budget on "perfecting" the more human look. In fact the ground they broke paved the way for much of the really good CG we get today. I hate when people lamely say that movie had "lame" or "bad" CG...

| Unfortunately I never have been so frequently in theaters. Still, let's see if I can list the flops (based on the box office results) I have seen in theaters...
- We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story Not much kept stuck in my memory and I never saw the movie again after that, only the Nostalgia Critic's review.
- Pumuckl und der blaue Klabauter (Pumuckl and the blue Ship's Kobold) I'm not sure if that German children's movie from 1994 was really a box office bomb back then but let's say that it never got as popular and praised as the TV series and audio cassettes. And I never heard or read that this movie was a big success. Also nowadays no one is really talking about it.
- Fierce Creatures I read that the movie made little money so I list it here. I also was not that amused or entertained. I'm a big fan of John Cleese and Michael Palin but they didn't do much to make me laugh and most of the movie is forgetable. That's something about a movie including Cleese, Palin and a bunch of adorable animals.
- Mr. Magoo Don't ask me how I got in there. I don't recall telling others that I wanted to see this movie. I DO recall laughing at one, two jokes but that's it. And by the way, I never grew up with the original cartoon.
- Six Days Seven Nights I remember reading somewhere that this movie was still a box office disappointment since it made its most money outside the US and it wasn't well-praised. However, I don't remember anything special or especially funny, suspenseful, romantic....
- Roberto Benigni's Pinocchio Funfact: When my big sister and I went into the theater room only two other people were sitting there, punishing themselves with this movie. I am not surprised that this movie was a box office bomb, even in Italy: Lovely looking settings and costums can't hide the miscast of the leading role and its terrible consequences.

Me too. Dude, I loved 13th Warrior. I thought that Antonio Banderas did a decent job. I've not read the book, though I've heard it's a large departure. - The_Stone_Guest wrote:

I don’t care about this whole ‘final fantasy on earth’ thing, it was a decent movie, well animated, great voice acting, and zing, has a higher score on rotten tomatoes than Advent Children (I hate ff7).

| I have to consult Wikipedia for a list. Let's see...
'John Carter' (2012) I went solely because of how hard it was flopping; I thought it was one of those movies I'd get to brag about having seen for its limited theatrical run. I expected something awful but ended up really liking it...admittedly, that kind of disappointed me. Shows how big a role marketing plays in the success of a film, regardless of quality.
'Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within' (2001) I was 13 when this came out, so I barely remember any of it. Just another movie I saw with my dad on a random weekend.
'Sahara' (2005) Yet another weekender flick with my dad, although I probably had a desire to see it because I love dumb adventure movies. I remember liking it just for that reason.
'The Alamo' (2004) Another I don't remember all that well. Another prime example of how pretty much all the major box office bombs in history are actually pretty forgettable, average-to-mediocre movies.
'Around the World in 80 Days' (2004) I had actually gone to see 'Garfield: The Movie' for some inexplicable reason when the projector broke halfway through and the manager offered the audience free tickets for another film, so I chose this one. Wikipedia tells me my other choice that week was 'The Stepford Wives' remake, so yes, I made the right decision. I like goofy adventures, Jules Verne, ensemble casts, Steve Coogan, Jackie Chan...so I actually had a good time with this one (much more than I did with 'Garfield').
'Poseidon' (2006) Another weekender with my dad. Both of us love 'The Poseidon Adventure', even though we didn't outright hate it, we were both equally disappointed.
So, only six out of the list of fifty I saw theatrically. Twenty out of the fifty I've seen altogether. I'm quite surprised the number is that low.
