As some of you know, I'm a big fighting game fan. So much so that I actually play Street Fighter in tournaments. Before I go into a lot of the deeper fighting game concepts and ideas (as well as news), I'm wondering if there are any other fighting game fans here.

I was always a Street Fighter fan, with Mortal Kombat being a close second.

I've always been purely a MK fan(obvious, no?). I was pretty good, some years ago, but haven't played for a really long time. I am eager to see what the new MK will be like though. It looks promising.

I also enjoy playing from time to time Guilty Gear Online. Street Fighter is not a very personal favorite, but it is a good game.

I generally play lots of MUGEN, just because I can play with loads of characters from different games. Its quite fun.

I'm excited for the new MK, as well. It looks a lot like MKII, which is the last MK I really liked so I'm really hoping that it's good.

I grew up on the genesis and more specifically the original MK, I love the first one and it will always remain as my special fighter.

@Frank Yes he is Very Happy Honestly, back in the day, when he was just one more palette swap to fill the roster, he was the mostly underplayed character in my group of friends, so I thought - eh I'll play with him, once I learned his combos and special moves he was really fun to play and I've stuck with him since. Plus I kinda like the fact that he is kinda of an alpha & omega - many souls combine to make one form - very philosophical Smile

What's your favorite character ?

Looking back, I realize that my first fighting games, the one that won me over to the genre for life, was Primal Rage, which is why to this day, I defend that game even though it's seemingly quite popular to call it one of the worst fighters ever made.

Had some good memories with that game. Re-bought it just a few years ago, hard to get back into it but it still was fun for nostalgia purposes.

I never let it go, even if the controls on the home-ports are fucking ridiculous. I still play a pretty mean Vertigo.

I used to love Primal Rage, especially punching the natives back and forth and a volleyball net coming up while you vollyed said native.
