You may be familiar with the Ultimate Warrior's anti smoking PSA.

All I know is this....that Ultimate Warrior PSA scared the crap out of me. I sure as hell didn't want to start smoking when I was a kid, lest Warrior burst onto the scene and devoured me.

Maybe it's just me, but that Lynch PSA never really freaked me out. I guess to me I was thinking "It's not like there were never rats in NYC sewers to begin with..."

Wow, that Lynch commercial wasn't even remotely scary.
Might have help if he had shot scenes with the rats in the park near the little girl, or any of the others. As it stands, it's just, meh.

Here's another weird PSA I found that has a song that almost sounds as disturbing as the song Winnie the Pooh sang in "Too Smart Fro Strangers".

I remember seeing this PSA many years ago. But after the recent Penn State scandal, it feels much more creepier watching it than ever before.

hey guys, i'm curious i know these are meant to get kids away from drugs, but did any of these weather if they are bad or not actually work? have they ever worked? i know the point is to keep kids off drugs and shit.
but i have never met anyone in my life that said gee i saw this commerical on tv or special and it got me thinking about how drugs are bad for you. am i the only one here that's like that? i think 'D.A.R.E" was a bit more effective
in this area to be honest,. if that's even still around i have no idea. but when they came to my 5th grade classroom well some cop did. that got me thinking a bit more than any PSA that i saw on tv ever has.
and other than trying weed a few times in my early 20's. which really didn't do a damn thing for me. drugs really have never appealed to me.. so weather the cop coming to my 5th grade classroom over 20 years ago helped i have no idea to be honest. but i love to drink when i get a chance, but i don't always get that. and it's been 3 years since i last got drunk. but i have drank a couple things since than but i was sober though after i drank it.
i guess that's my drug drinking one every now and than. also i have epilepsy so that also may be another factor in me not taking drugs like most people well other than weed. actually i believe Brad here says he takes tegeratol or however the fuck that's spelled? that's a drug i've taken pretty much all my life. so it's funny that i have that in common with him. even though i've never met the man before.

I've gotta love the mixed message that "Governor Lynch" PSA sends out:
"Oh no, we don't want free thinking kids in *our* neighborhood! No Sir!"

I only heard about that video after watching this one, where someone references the old man's "spilled the paint" line in a TF2 server. That got me wondering about the original, and then I found this recording of Opie and Anthony skewering it.
