Hands down his funniest role.

I really enjoyed watching Robin's movies as a kid growing up.
Later, people online kept on complaining that he was funny at first, but was starting to get annoying.
But I still was a huge fan.
I will always remember Robin Williams for the comedic genius he was.
May he rest in peace.

Damn. This is just... damn.

He had so many good movies left in him. And his wife and kids... fuck.

Yeah, I grew up loving movies like MRS. DOUBTFIRE and ALADDIN. People think of him as this slapstick actor but he could really go to some dark places too (INSOMNIA, WORLD'S GREATEST DAD, ONE HOUR PHOTO, DEATH TO SMOOTCHY). He was a tremendous actor and it's really a shame that he went out this way. (And on that note, I think I'll stay off Facebook for a couple days. First thing I saw when I logged in this morning was a big diatribe about how suicide is selfish and depressed people just need to "Man up." THAT IS NOT HOW DEPRESSION WORKS. Trust me, I speak from experience.)

I think they should model the funeral on this:

Damn, this is hard.
I'm not a real by his but I'd be lying if I said he didn't influence my childhood in some ways: Aladdin, Hook, Popeye, Mrs. Doubtfire...also he played in the wonderful "Fisher King" and in those cool Zelda commercials. He was the one performing South Park's "Blame Canada" at the Academy Award event 2000 and was topic in some of my favourite "Nostalgia Critic" episodes (like "Patch Adams" ).

R.I.P. ...

@ChaosTheory: I'm glad that I don't have to deal with those "Man up/Don't be selfish" people but yeah, that is nothing like rude behavior, I agree. Depression is not like a layer you just can peel off. If only it was that easy.

I'm watching Family Guy on Adult Swim.
They were going to show the "Fan Mail" episode with the Robin Williams sketch at 11:30pm.
They replaced it with an older Family Guy episode out of respect for him.

his older comedies are better i admit that. but he still has done good work since than. yes he's done some WTF films. a great deal of his films i still haven't seen. but i love a world according to Garp. and i think Good Morning Vietnam is my favorite role of his. i had to do some thinking of which one is my favorite cause someone did ask me that. and what's said is everyone i talk to mentions his disney work and only his disney work pretty much. Flubber stuff like that. and i liked Flubber saw it back in (1997) when it 1st came out in fact. but the thing is

when i Mention a world according to garp at work it seems nobody has seen that film. and it's quite sad cause it's such a damn good film. and nobody mentioned Good morning Vietnam either. they at least mentioned Good Will Hunting which is a great film and he's fantastic in that one as well. man this breaks my heart.

I don't know if this matters to anyone here but last Friday the German standard voice of Robin Williams, Peer Augustinski, died, too (it's not known yet what the cause was but I guess it was some illness). Not quite two months after the man he lent his voice for some centuries. This is a little bit creepy.
Augustinski btw was also the German voice of Woody in "Toy Story" and "Toy Story 2" but audiences mostly know him as the German voice of Williams.
