Why do people hate Shia LeBoeuf?

I haven't seen very much of him. I saw Indiana Jones 4, but he didn't bother me as much as the rest of the script. Is he really a bad actor, has he chosen bad movies, or is it just fashionable to hate him?

A little of each, I think. People love to hate former Disney child stars (He was on a Disney show called EVEN STEVENS, in which he was actually pretty good, like a lot of child stars it didn't carry over to adulthood so well.) He also comes off as really entitled and insufferable in interviews/real life.

The one I can't figure out is, why the hell are we all supposed to love Channing Tatum?

There seem to be certain celebrities where, for whatever reason, it becomes the "cool thing" to hate on them (EX: Dane Cook, Seth MacFarlane)

And by that, I mean, people don't really have legit reasons why they hate said celebrities, they simply hate on them because "Oh, well, everyone else does..."

But Seth McFarlane is legitimately awful. (maybe TED's the exception, I haven't seen it, but based on everything else since they un-cancelled FAMILY GUY the second time......)

He was arrested last night in NYC.

Don't hate. I've enjoyed some of the films he's been in, though not for him personally. He can be a pain sometimes, in the TRANSFORMERS sequels he overacts like crazy, but in the annoying way.

he doesn't bother me at all. i think he's a pretty good actor. maybe not oscar worthy as he is still young and hasn't done enough roles to warrent that. well not ones i've seen. and i kinda like Indy 4. is it as good as the others hell no it's not NOT by any means. but i liked it when i saw it. as a human being i don't really give a shit if he's arrested or not. and i don't think it's Disney Child stars that people tend to hate at all. it's just certain ones. for example a Disney Child star is Jodie Foster to throw a name out there. and she's a pretty talented actress too.

i think it's got more to do not so much the roles they take. though sometimes no doubt that is the reason.

it has to think has to do with what they do the shit the pull while in public. cause what happens, isn't them so much not them getting adult roles very well. you can say that about any actor. some can do it and some can't. kinda like back in the silent era you had your actors who when the studios turned to talkies you had your certain actors/actresses who did it with no problem and you had ones that did have trouble doing it. Mickey Rooney for example started out in silents and he was fine when talkies came in. so was Joan Crawford to throw a great actress in. anyways.


these days we see Miley fucking cyrus all over the place and it doesn't help that her agent is a fucking moron and believes that the old saying that bad publicity is good publicity well i don't believe that at all just look at a number of celebs who went off the rail and the bad publicity hurt their career.

what a LOT of these disney kids do sadly is they act find around the public and everything else as a kid.

than at some point in their 20's to throw an age out there, they want to star doing adult roles and that's fine. but they also are no doubt told by their agent that doing this and that will help you as well and they listen.
not all of them start doing drugs either. i saw on tv them talk about and i think it was E.T.
Entertainment tonight and they made a good point he's not handling not being on the big screen very well.

well he did say that he was qutting doing the A list films. and though he's gotten roles he hasn't as far as i'm aware been getting the attention he was used to as well. i dunno if any of this is true i'm just throwing idea's out there folks.

It's kind of bad luck I guess. He is a pretty good actor, but he chose movies that sounded promising, but ended up being disappointing as hell. Lately though he seems to make bad or weird decisions in life...his "art" exhibit for example.

i can't argue with that. you can also say the same things about all actors/actress as well. Christopher Lee who well minus all the stupid shit that Shia L. done i'm referring to his films of course hell even he's done shitty movies and movies he's regretted making. where the script is good but than he got directors that totally ruined it or the script was changed numerous times during filming for example. John Carradine ended up having that done to him a shitload of time when he would do his B movies, Al Adamson did that all the time.

my point is sometimes the script can sound good when it's 1st read and it can be good but than it can get intreference from the studio or the writer or whoever or things can happen that force them to change it. kinda like Harrison Ford hurt his ankle and there is no doubt they will be forced to change the script so he can be in it.

as for his actions well i don't have an answer to that one cept he's a fucking moron
