Nothing since I am not involved in any way in the Pokémon universe. But even if I was a fan, I would give a side look at the live action movie Dragonball and get pessimistic enough.

i can't stand pokemon but to be fair do we really need a live action version of it? what i heard about the dragon ball Z films is we had one that was a decent film the 1st one and the other one was utter shit. you can of course correct me if i'm wrong on the Dragon Ball Z films of course. i haven't seen either of them to be fair.
the live action for pokeman may look like shit and if you are a die hard fan you of course don't want that. there's plenty of no doubt movies in animation that prolly will be more fun to watch anyways if you are a big enough fan to watch them. but as brad likes to say it's not movies or a tv show that's made for me anyways. cause they just aren't my type of thing so to each their own. but who knows it may be a good film what you fans think?

Being critical about this isn't an issue.
Anime to movie translations have a successful impact...In Japan since they have a history of following the source material as best as possible from manga to film format, same with manga to television....With added filler mind you.... We all know Dragon Ball Evolution sucked but keep in mind.... It isn't hard to make a film like Dragonball Z like action. Ever seen Kung Fu Hustle?
For a Pokemon Adaptation, it'll b slightly more difficult since I imagine there will have to be some ultra-realistic Pokemon designs...If Hollywood is covering it anyway....Which will not look pretty.

I don't know about something like Pokemon... I think the concept might be a bit too 'out there' for conventional film making. Then again, what do I know? I think the same thing about Ghost in the Shell, and that's getting a hollywood adaptation.

actually i haven't seen that to be honest. but to be fair live action is harder to get right than if it's in animation or hell even a CGI film like Resident Evil did i mean those 2 films they did are fantastic but with these characters even with today's FX would it even look good? i may not like the show but some things are hard to put to screen. with some games it's no doubt harder to make it live action than it is to other games. i mean they are doing the Assassins Creed series into a film i hear and i have no idea who is in that let alone seen anything from it and i've never played those games before but going by the various footage i've seen from the games anyways on you tube it can prolly be done right. i've never seen ghosts in the shell so i can't say i love it or hate it to be fair.
Street Fighter may not be a great film the Van Damn one. i think they did other films of Street fighter? so that's why i say that one and that one as cheesy as hell it is and it's not a great film. it's a fun one to watch every once in awhile and i'm not much as a street fighter fan either. i've played it in the arcade back in the day and i was awful at it. i can't remember if i ever played any of the console versions though. but than there's a lot of video games i'd love to see get made. when Dark Shadows came out i was surprised to learn they didn't make one of that even if it's a cheesy ass game. Lost in Space i think would be a fun one if it was like from the 60's version with the voices of the actors and archive voices for it.
when the Dark Tower comes out in Feb. i am dying to know if they will make that a video game cause it would make a fucking fantastic game as long as it's 3rd person cause i'm frankly terrible at 1st person games. anyways back on topic when it comes to video games coming to the screen i'm not against it cause it can work fine. i like the Resident Evil films though some of them are better than others to be fair. and since i've only played one game in that series and it's the 1st one on the game cube that's got really shitty controls i can't say how good or bad it was. so them leaving stuff out of the films is not much of a bother to me.
but if they do make anime films into live features and they have a cast of people i like i may rent it when it comes out on video.
