| Please excuse my stupid question. But something that I actually don't know: Is Brad a gamer? Or does he play a game once and a while? Or does he about never?
I'm only curious and if he does play videos I'd like to know what games or genres.

| Brad seems to know his classic NES stuff pretty well. His old list of his NES collection shows some relatively rare and cult titles. Anyone who's a fan of 'Vice: Project Doom' is alright in my book. | |

Wait! Is this actually Brad's old LiveJournal page? Because there's a DVD collection list too, which is super interesting!

Wait! Is this actually Brad's old LiveJournal page? Because there's a DVD collection list too, which is super interesting! It was linked from his old MySpace page (his (public) personal one, not the Snob one). It still feels a little creepy to have looked over it, but I actually used the DVD list to compile a list of "to see" movies. I'd like to see him make a new one, and for VHSes, as well. It's interesting to look back and see Brad's writing pre-Snob writing work. Apparently he used to be quite active on Diary-X back when it was functional...I haven't been interested enough to seek it out, though.

I wonder if Brad looked back at his DVD list now he'd agree with all his old ratings. Three and a half stars for Birth of a Nation!? Maybe it wasn't Brian who was the Slaver after all.

| 'Birth of a Nation' is a great film, and profoundly influential on cinema as a whole. Just because a movie's ideology is disagreeable doesn't mean it still can't be a great work of art. Consider the artists, authors, etc. throughout history who held the racialist views of their time periods: I can't discredit the awesome works of, say, Richard Wagner or H. P. Lovecraft because they were antisemitic no more so than I can do the same for the equally excellent 'Triumph of the Will'.
One can make a valid point about not being able to watch and/or like 'Birth of a Nation' because of its racist content, but it's impossible to argue that it's not an objectively important film.
