I watched "Enter The Void" on Netflix's instant streaming program. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enter_the_Void It was filmed in Tokyo & had to ask permission from the yakuza (Japanese mafia) to film around there locations. It was released by IFC Films. The director was inspired bu Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey" & called it his dream project. However, the movie was a complete disaster. The entire film was shot POV style like the "Maniac" remake. It had seizure-inducing special effects & scenes that went on for an eternity & nothing made any sense whatsoever. I kept saying to myself "When will this piece of shit ever end?" FYI, the movie was over 2-hours long. Imagine if the final scene from "2001: A Space Odyssey" was a full-length motion picture.
