Ben Affleck To Be New Batman in "Man of Steel" Sequel

Ben Affleck will be playing as Batman in the upcoming sequel to "Man of Steel".

Fanboys around the Internet have been going apeshit about this since the news broke. I've already seen *Two* petitions being started to be sent to Warner Brothers, "demanding" that Affleck be replaced by Bale or else said fanboys will boycott...

Adam West is still alive. Just sayin'.

No joke, I think the fanboys would rejoice if Adam West was brought in as a replacement if it meant no Affleck.

My advice to the fanboys: Wait untill you see him in the role before you start your nerd rage. The guy isn't that bad of an actor imo.

I just saw this in another forum a few minutes ago; and I'll say here, as I said there - Kevin Conroy is the only Batman for me.








I can't get worked up over this. I have a hard time picturing Ben in the role but I'll reserve judgment. Heath Ledger should have been a lousy Joker and Tom Hardy should have been a cool Bane, but look what happened there.

The "solution" to this would be to have Joss Whedon write the screenplay. Then it will automatically be THE GREATEST MOST BRILLIANT MOVIE EVER MADE IN THE HISTORY OF ANYTHING EVER regardless of who's starring in it, or whether it sucks or not.

If I was some kind of executive producer I would cast Tobey Maguire as Batman. Or Ashton Kutcher. Just to troll the fanboys.

All joking aside, I would've liked to see Jim Caviezel take on the role. That was never going to happen but....

I think I'll start an Internet petition to get Frank Miller to write the screenplay. Should be an interesting trainwreck.

I can totally live with that. I've grown to like him as an actor. Richard Armitage would have been my first choice, because I really loved the first season of Strike Back, but I'm interested what Affleck does with the role...can't be worse than Clooney.

Ooohhhh, good call. Armitage is fantastic. (I'm loving him as Thorin too, whatever else people want to say about Jackson's HOBBIT.) And yeah, really nobody can be worse than Clooney.

He was spectacular. In my book, he was much, much better than Jack Nicholson.

i prefer jack actually. but to each their own. i don't remember that much flack about Heath being cast though.
i like Ben A. as an actor i like him and always have. so i'm keeping an open mind before i even see him!

for me the ultimate joker is the cartoon version with Mark Hamill doing the voice. live action for me it hasn't been
cast yet. i don't hate heath ledger in the role, in fact i think he over acted in it. he wasn't terrible though.

he's just over rated as the joker. and dear god i hate the make-up they used. i dunno who i see as the next joker and
most likely there will be one at some point. i just dunno who i see him as to be fair. anyways, who is going to be superman
anyone know? is it the same dude they used for man of steel or are they getting a new guy?
