Brilliant or Rubbish? Or someone like Michael Caine, who bestrides the ends of the cinematic bell curve like a colossus?
What are your personal Nicolas Cage experiences?

I thought 8MM was way better than WORLD TRADE CENTER, personally.

I thought I had seen more of Cage's films, but after going through his filmography, there's probably only like 10 that I've seen. And half of them I saw because Brad recommended them

As my avatar may suggest, I'm in the same team as Brad in having seen the entirety of Nicolas Cage's filmography, for pretty much precisely the same reasons why I like him as an actor.
I'm not really sure what that chart's supposed to measure: the brilliance/rubbish of his performance, or of the movie itself? In either case, I only have minor disagreements.
As there's too much I can say about his filmography, I'll just leave it with that I put 'Wild at Heart' at the top and 'Next' at the very bottom.

I liked him in WILD AT HEART too. All joking aside, he's a real delight to watch when he's properly utilized and I am fine with him having an Oscar.

He's a phenomenal actor when he's playing unconventional characters. He just doesn't work in the serious leading man/action hero mold that he's been trying to fit in for the last 15-ish years. 'Leaving Las Vegas', 'Matchstick Men', 'Adaptation', 'Bringing Out the Dead', etc., movies where he plays neurotics and psychotics, those are great performances; 'Con Air', 'City of Angels', 'It Could Happen to You', 'National Treasure', etc., mainstream movies where he plays straightforward action heroes or romantic leads, those are dull and forgettable. There are a few exceptions, but he works best in a very particular field.

'Vampire's Kiss'. It truly is a phenomenal, mesmerizing performance from Cage, even though I thought the movie was pretty lacking.

It's also the movie where, as noted earlier, the "Ya Don't Say!" meme came from.

I'll admit I have a soft spot for CONAIR, although Nic isn't given much to do in it.

I like a lot of Nicholas Cage's movies and even some of the bad ones too...
That being said I can say without a doubt "Bangkok Dangerous" was easily the worst Nic Cage I've ever seen. I shudder just thinking about how horrible that movie was. Ugghhh...
