Loved the Snob review. It's interesting that Snob is starting to tackle more mainstream movies. Even though I do love the exploitation/porn reviews this is a good change of pace. I wonder if its the normal trend for Brad now.
I liked this movie, I grew up with this movie, maybe that's why I couldn't stop laughing though the review. One thing I thought Snob would joke about is my favorite line in the movie.
Anyway, can't wait for Blankman.

Wow. I join the forum. Request one movie in the requests thread. And 5 days later it's made.
This must be how god feels.
All kidding aside, I love this movie. Rented it all the time from my local video store when I was a kid (and a movie rental was 0.99. Damn, I'm getting old).
Awesome review.

It's far from the most mainstream thing he's reviewed, but can Robot Jox really be considered a "mainstream" film? I mean, it was an independently-produced film with a limited theatrical run which only found life on video and cable. Even the DVD is hard to find.
Technically, 'The Legend of the Lone Ranger' was a more mainstream film than 'Robot Jox' was.

Congrats to Brad. I love the review. My favorite one since BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS. I hope he does more movies like these. I don't know how mainstream, but I do prefer when he reviews films I've seen and enjoy, or at least heard of.
I like this film, and some of the other Charles Band productions he mentioned. CRASH AND BURN is probably my favorite of the so called "Robot Jox 2" movies. No seriously, in some territories CRASH AND BURN and ROBOT WARS are titled "Robot Jox 2".

To be honest, The Snob can make nearly anything entertaining.
But please, NO MORE PORN! The porn reviews kinda suck.

Watching Brad getting offended by the horrific movie quality (not to mention the porn) of said porn movies is what makes it so great.
I'd rather watch him tackle good porn flicks. Snobbing cheap '90s productions is like shooting fish in a barrel, but doing genuinely brilliant films like 'Nightdreams' makes the humor much stronger and wittier. I really want to see Brad take on 'Cafe Flesh' or 'Behind the Green Door' at some point.

Meh, that preference will vary from viewer to viewer. I'm a cult film fan on Brad's level, and out of about five reviews a month, I usually haven't heard of 1-2 at most, and those are usually foreign films or obscure non-exploitation titles (e.g. "Wow Wow Wibble..."), so he already does films that I've seen and enjoy.
Isn't the point kinda lost if The Snob tackles good porn?
It's more hilarious when he tackles bad porn, no?
Eh, depends on what you thought of the 'Nightdreams' or 'Debbie Does Dallas' reviews. Poking fun at bad porn is always a fun time, but personally, I think some of Brad's best and best-written reviews are when he does good-to-great movies, porn or otherwise. Even with lesser films like 'Hardgore' or 'Water Power', his character has more material to work with when the film is artsy and experimental, rather than cheap sleaze like 'Beaver & Butt-Face' or 'E-3: The Extra Testicle', which are bad enough that the jokes are a bit too obvious to make. But that's just my opinion; I'm sure some will feel the exact opposite.
I dunno, I kinda have a softer spot for when Brad Snobs the really bad porn rather then the arty/experimental but not necessarily bad porn.

I tend to prefer his reviews of REALLY bad movies also. I mean, that's the thing that got me interested in The Snob in the first place. Before getting introduced to Brad's work, I didn't even know these absolute bottom-of-the-barrel movies like Death Nurse and Ax'em had legitimate releases. It was just so fascinating to see all this weird shit that I previously had no idea even existed.
